The High Line

The High Line, today a beautiful elevated park, once was an industrial railway. It was used for deliveries of goods for West Side factories. Later on abandoned, it was restored and transformed into a park and walking line. Except exploring the city from a high point with a view of Chelsea, there are many activities to do for free. Stargazing every Thursday, you can take part of art and walking tours, meditate in group or dance.

You’ll be able to visit also on view temporary exhibitions of the most contemporary artists and artist from the 20th century.

Jump in a Public Pool

In NYC you can find several great swimming pools, big enough, offering a wide range of swimming areas. In the summer is hot, and you can spend you whole day in the water, saving money. Ride on a Ferry

If you love traveling on water, you can try the Staten Island Ferry, which runs daily to and from Manhattan. The ride is free and you will be able to take a look at the Statue of Liberty and the Ellis Island. The tour is perfect for taking pictures and shooting a video. Don’t worry about the free space, daily more than 100 trips at every 20 minutes are held and 5 boats run all the time. Catch the Ferry from Whitehall Street in Manhattan or from St. George on the Island. Yu can also take a walk on Staten Island once you get off.

In the building of the Financial District of the Bank, created in 1920 are kept more than 6 500 tons of gold! This is the largest deposit of gold in the world and it will be one interesting tour. The tour is about 60 minutes in the hours between 9:30AM and 3:30PM. You need to sign in advance as the spots are limited.

The Cathedral St. John the Divine is one the oldest building in NYC. You can enter anytime to observe the Cathedral’s interior. Pay attention to the stained glass with modern images and scenes. Take e vertical tour to the roof.

If you go to Prospect Park, you can also visit the Botanic Garden, which is free every Thursday and Saturday.
